Tunnel Vision
Though I found the Red Tornado's sub-plot of interest, let me be honest and say that a single panel in JLA #1 justified the heftier-than-normal price-tag, for me.
Here it is:
I can't tell you how satisfying it was to see the core players of the DCU finally get it.
(I know Power Girl is supposed to be re-forming the JSA, and that this is probably some kind of a tease. I don't care.)
Oh, and a request to DC's writers: please stop using the Metal Men as cannon fodder.

Well, with the Red Tornado in a human body, it seems to limit his getting-blown-up capabilities, so someone had to step up.
And that's not a role that can be filled by just one character.
Though why meltzer couldn't have used the Rocket Reds as cannon fodder I don't know.
Or borrow the Guardsmen from Marvel! They aren't doing anything these days!

It's true: the Marvel/DC war could indeed be ended if they agreed to share fodder characters able to regenerate themselves!
