Fan Interest
On the question of the mentality/demographic to which mainstream superhero comics are pitched: a sampling of my fellow comic fans' thoughts and opinions from the DC Comics Message Boards.

And yes, I do recognize that the threads listed co-exist with a plethora of fairly prosaic statements and requests for information. However, items 1 and 2 do seem to have generated an inordinate amount of fan response.

*nod* I tend to avoid message boards myself. They seem to reflect a different portion of the audience...and the topics are creepy. :-)

Great Krypton! That's insane. And I agree with Ragnell. I only forayed into the DC Message Boards once. *shudder* I never went back.
I must admit I get questionable excitement out of watching the verbal brawls on the Green Lantern board, though. It makes up for having to work during the hockey games. :)
Going to the DC boards and reading stupid shit is like a hobby for me!
